On Monday, April 7th, the Mediterranean gave us one of those perfect days: calm seas, clear skies, and a collective energy that filled us with joy and purpose. As part of the Social and Environmental Impact Days promoted by Marina Ibiza, we shared an unforgettable day with the young people from @cceesantjosep and @amadiba, two organizations that work daily for the inclusion and development of people with special needs.

This time, the sea allowed us to set sail, and we did so in the best possible way: with an electric motor, in silence, without pollution, respecting the environment we love so much. For many of the participants, it was their first time sailing, and excitement mingled with curiosity to discover how a sustainable boat works.

During the voyage, an educational talk was offered on how the sailboat works, sailing, and the importance of protecting the sea. The young people were able to see up close how the rudder works, how the boat steers in the wind, and how technology can help us reduce our impact on marine ecosystems.
One of the most special moments of the day was the time dedicated to art and observation. On board, and using materials from the @marillesfoundation, participants drew marine species, landscapes, and elements of the Mediterranean, working with educational sheets and posters designed to introduce marine biodiversity to all ages and abilities.

In addition, recreational and educational activities were held that allowed young people to interact with each other and the marine environment in a dynamic, sensorial, and fun way. Every detail was designed to make the sea an accessible, safe space full of learning opportunities.

This initiative would not be possible without the commitment and involvement of Marina Ibiza, the driving force behind these events that promote sustainability, social inclusion, and a deep connection with the sea. Thanks also to CCEE Sant Josep, Amadiba, and all the people who made this Monday a day to remember.

At Love the Mediterranean, we believe that the Mediterranean should be shared, respected, and experienced by all. Because protecting it also means opening it up to new perspectives, new voices, and new ways of experiencing it.
