Drawings, birds and songs: an unforgettable day at sea with AMADIBA

On April 13th, we set sail once again aboard the Galaxie, this time with a very special group from AMADIBA. It was one of those days that are etched in our memory, not just for the good weather or the beauty of the sea, but for the shared laughter, the discoveries and the real connection between people and the environment.

From the very beginning, the energy was contagious. The young people experienced the voyage as a complete adventure: they drew fish and marine mammals, observed birds with binoculars —including gulls and terns— and then wrote their names and characteristics in their diaries, like little scientists of the Mediterranean.

With the hydrophone, they listened to the sounds of the seabed and immersed themselves —without getting wet—in that invisible world that lives beneath the waves. There were also moments to sing, share songs, listen to music and discover that the sea can also be heard through sounds.

Then, it was time to stop, eat together on deck and enjoy the sea calmly, as if time stood still. Sharing the meal as a group, outdoors and with endless views, was another gift of this complete and well-organized day, where everything flowed naturally.

The educational team told us that in the days that followed, they couldn't stop talking about the trip, reliving the moments when they saw the photos, remembering what they had learned and asking when the next one would be. This echo that remains afterwards—this emotional imprint—is what gives meaning to each day like this.

Thanks to the AMADIBA team, the captain and crew of the Galaxie, and all the actors who promote these days, making it possible for the Mediterranean to open up to those who experience it more intensely. Because sometimes, all you need is this: a boat, good weather, some songs... and a great desire to look at the sea with new eyes.
