Ibiza immerses itself in the Balearic Sea through two photographic exhibitions by MARE

Annual Expo 2023 -2024

The second exhibition, a permanent summer feature at the new Botafoc Maritime Station, is titled ‘Do You Live Facing the Sea?’. It displays 45 stunning images from the MARE 2021 contest, complemented by thoughtful ethical guidelines exploring life in harmony with the sea. This exhibit encourages visitors to join the Pacte Blau Balear and fosters a shared dedication to safeguarding our waters.

This exhibition epitomises a sustainable circular model. Amarar meticulously crafted the structures using wood reclaimed from trees felled by a severe storm in 2020 in Banyalbufar, made possible with the support of Fundación Baleària and the collaboration of the Port Authority (APB). The life cycle analysis (LCA) was conducted, and it was accredited as a 'Carbon Neutral' expo and highlighting its significant contribution to advancing sustainability and climate action. Developed in partnership by Trueworld, this zero-impact exhibition stands as a testament to technical orchestration and collaboration among key stakeholders.
