Mar de Fondo organised an event in collaboration with various stakeholders, including TrueWorld, involving a 2.0 km swim around Sa Porrassa Island, at Magaluf Beach in the municipality of Calviá.
The primary objective of the event was to raise awareness about the environmental challenges facing the Mediterranean and promote the importance of marine protected areas while enhancing the reputation of the Magaluf area by highlighting its natural beauty.
TrueWorld contributed its technology and the vessel Stenella to ensure the safety of the swimmers while collecting data on the sea's impact and health at that moment.
Additionally, impacts were calculated to assess the event's effects and make it carbon-neutral, raising awareness about environmental challenges.
This contribution aligns with our focus on the rights of the Mediterranean Sea, advocating and supporting all involved in executing protection and awareness activities.
